Brushing off the rust after a twenty year absence (me, not the boat) in the one and only qualifying heat at the World Championships in Cambridge, MD. Having no prior seat time in a flatbottom with pedals, I took to the course without testing and managed to find myself running a comfortable third behind Duff Daily and Dale Hernandez, Jr. before running out of fuel on the last lap. An extremely satisfying run none the less.
